Working together
At Kitchen Mechanica, we will help you assess your kitchen storage space, evaluate the workflow around key functions of the kitchen and the cooking process, and review your goals for the interior design aesthetic, with colours and materials and styles. Then we can discuss project options and the most cost effective way to upgrade your kitchen. Our goal is to have presented you with all feasible options and for you to have chosen the one that’s best for you. Then you simply place an order and depending on project complexity, start work 3 – 6 weeks thereafter.
Consultation
Initial discussion can be conducted remotely. But the process only truly begins when we get together for an in-depth review of your room and adjacent spaces. We will have enough material and samples with us to cover all aspects of your kitchen upgrade and take a detailed brief of your desired works.
Quotation and Review
Your consultant will assemble a detailed quotation from your choices so that you have complete piece of mind that everything you want completed is included. Any options or alternative prices will also be detailed here, from which you can make budgetary decisions and commission your project to hold future dates in the diary.
Refine Details
Meeting your consultant again will allow a detailed review of all the assembled parts and to walk through the room with final specification in hand. Any visual aids can be double checked against our intended design brief. And if we have produced a VR model (Virtual Reality) for your review, you can enter the virtual world here. Confirm Your Order
Once you are satisfied with the details of your project, we will confirm the order. We then place all material purchase orders and commission any bespoke furniture building, manufacturing, construction or design. All other materials are ordered and your works scheduled to include any other trades and building works.
Delivery
For expedience and scheduling, we may have a few items of your order delivered in advance of the installation, to ensure everything we need is available at the start. Then our experienced installers and craftsmen will arrive, with any remaining items, to start your works. The interior of your home will be protected and covered where appropriate and items no longer required will be removed for disposal.
Installation
Depending upon the size of project and complexity, we will be on-site between 2 or 3 days and a couple of weeks – which we will have discussed up front during consultation and detailed in the schedule. The shorter timescales will include small projects like replacement of doors only, with the longer durations needed for full room modification, with additional cupboards, appliances, re-arrangement of existing layout and new solid worktops that require a template and off-site fabrication.
